When my heart and body,
Is distraught with despair,
I'll gaze up at heaven,
And I'll know you're there;

I know you were eager,
To know the meaning of life in the past,
Now that you're above,
You know at last;

The memories we shared,
I shall never forget,
The story's you told me,
Not one did you regret;

And although it hurts,
To know we're apart,
I know you're here,
In my soul and my heart;

You're still a part,
Of absolutely everything I do,
You're still here in spirit,
Forever a tattoo;

And although we do not speak,
I feel your presence is here,
And when I need you most,
I know that you are near.
