Absence

When you're absent I start to conscious think,
That the reason is I miss you when I can't sleep a wink,
There's an emptiness on the left side of my bed,
There's a silent missing trail of your very tread,
When I wake at morning I'll miss your pretty face,
Instead I'll find my teddy bear lying in your place,
So whilst I'm not there to cwtch you to sleep,
I'll send you something dear of which I hope you keep,
A promise to do my best to keep you safe always,
A promise to give you happiness through many of your days,
A promise to give you undying love, to give my heart away,
A promise that I hope always with you it will stay,

Its time to head to dreamland, time to say our goodbyes,
